Webbed!
Mondays are happy for one and only reason – it’s Mondays Finish the Story time! This week we have a very interesting photo prompt which is
and my interpretation to the picture is as follows…
“What a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.”
Stepping into a quagmire can be a serious trap with no getaway whatsoever. Oh! So isn’t the world of deception more like a swampy road with marshes, shallow depths, dark forests, dead spirits, black birds, eerie noises, filth, polluted air of dirt and foul men who delight in swindling the innocent?
On lie fetches another. Honesty, in its actual manifestation, has ceased to exist.
You try to save your ass by opting to deceive the other and by doing so you let the deception multiply till it forms an enormous web of inescapable mess! Your self-protecting act boomerangs to trap you in the ugly world of deception. Try saving yourself now?
Certainly, it is the unique gift of humans only to weave a tangled web of deception.

“One lie fetches another” is a great lie. Nicely done!

You have used the prompt really well. I particularly like the image you build of lies being like a quagmire, with no way out. One lie leads to another – just as with a quagmire, one step leads you deeper in and unable to get out. (Coincidentally, I used the word quagmire on my Wow post two weeks ago. It’s agreat old word.) Well written. 🙂

I’ve put down my beliefs in this post. I strongly feel that we put ourselves into deeper mess with deception. Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback 🙂

We are driven into the web of lies and deceptions every day. Who doesn’t tell a little lie every now and then? A job resume is actually expected to have almost a quarter of dishonest information. And every day we tell our other halves that there really isn’t anyone else who we find attractive. Humans are weak and the world is tempting. Yes. Honesty […] has ceased to exist. How paradoxical it is then, for me to claim that I really like this story…

Humans have created deception. To not fall into any form of danger or to have any threat to oneself, we opt to lie. Its funny how we choose the path of deception, to save ourselves, which only leads us into a deeper trap. Thank you so much for your feedback 🙂
